Aggro Meter shows who a targeted creature holds threat against, drawing up to six bars for you, party members and others, ranked by share of threat, and marking who the creature is currently attacking and whether each entry can reach it. A small tray icon toggles a resizable meter window, and a chat command lets you name your own summoned pet so it displays correctly. This update adds an optional spoken alert for losing the top threat spot (in addition to the existing alert for gaining it), with new voice clips and test buttons in the settings window. It only reads the game's own targeting and aggro data and saves window layout and preferences locally.

# Aggro Meter

Shows who a creature you have targeted holds threat against, using the game's own /verbose aggro data (add-on API 54).

  • Up to six bars, highest threat first. The bar fill is each character's share of the top threat.
  • Gold = you, blue = party member or your own pet, grey = anyone else, dim = the creature cannot reach them.
  • The header shows the target and who it is attacking now (that row is marked with >).
  • Read-only. It changes nothing in the game.

Using it

  • Click the tray icon to open or close the meter window (hidden by default). The window can be resized, and its - / + button folds the bars away. Threat is only read while the window is open and unfolded, or while voice alerts are on.
  • Click the AGGRO strip on the tray to collapse or expand the icon. Drag the small grip at the top-left of the tray to move it.
  • Whether the tray is collapsed, and whether the window was open or folded, is remembered across reloads.

Naming your summon

The game does not tell add-ons a summon's custom name. Target your summon and type /aggro pet (or /aggro pet <name>), and the meter shows that name for your summon from then on. /aggro pet clear forgets it. Other players' summons show their type, for example "Elemental Earth".

Voice alerts

A short spoken alert plays when you ("You have aggro") or your summon ("Pet has aggro") becomes the top threat on your target. It fires only when the top spot changes hands. Click the small = button on the tray title strip (or type /aggro settings) to open the settings window: turn alerts on or off, pick a female or male voice, set the volume, and test each clip. Everything is remembered. Alerts work with the window closed. /aggro test you or /aggro test pet plays a clip in the current voice.

Lost-aggro alerts (off by default, turn on in the settings window): "You lost aggro" or "Pet lost aggro" plays when the top spot leaves you or your pet, handy for tanks. Switching targets does not count as losing aggro.

The meter window uses the game's compact style: its title bar hides until the pointer rests on the window.

Notes

The first read of a creature's threat often comes back empty while the game fetches it from whoever's client runs the creature, so a bar may take a moment to appear. Players and creatures with no threat list show "no threat data".
